A bed with a canopy

Isn’t it romantic? I always find a bed with a canopy very romantic. If you like them as much as I do you’ll start building one and end up with a canopy in every bedroom you decorate.

There are so many ways to build a canopy. You just have to find the right match for your room. There you have some pictures to enjoy.

One of the simplest ways with just two panels of fabric

Another way that takes more fabric (at least three panels)

All of the following “half-canopies” are built the same way, with a hard structure (often made out of wood) covered with a balance and lots of fabric

I like the way the draperies hang in this picture

A little difference for this one that uses
a nice trick if your bed is placed in front of a window

The "Chinese canopy" is the easiest one to make

The next pictures show real canopy beds. You can “dress” these canopies following your inspiration

And the best of all, the bed called "a la polonaise". This is the most romantic “canopy bed” ever made.

...So are you going to start building a canopy any soon?

A beautiful Beach House

What would your beach house look like if you could decorate or redecorate it right now??? Mine could be a peaceful place with whites, earthy colors and maybe some bleu…

My bedroom could be something like that

with a little seating room to relax

My guests could sleep in a room similar to this one

This weathered boat could find its place in a corner on the family room or maybe on the backyard deck

This could be a good idea so the kids could sleep in the same room and build good memories together

A little kitchen with a little table…

…even thought I would rather have this other breakfast area…

The entry…

…or maybe like that

The living could look a little like this one…

The dinning room could be a mix of the next two pictures…

A simple white bathroom for the freshness feel…

And beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean…with a nice weathered table to enjoy meals with family and friends!!!!

What do you think?

…and what would your beach house look like???
